Group Think in the Boardroom

432

Has group think crept into your Boardroom? You need to guard against this insidious characteristic that can undermine boardroom decision-making processes. It will often appear when there is a high level of familiarity in the boardroom between the parties, a lack of debate starts to take place, and the boardroom meetings become increasingly easy to reach a consensus on a regular basis. True independent thought, debate, and disagreements are vanquished from the boardroom. Don’t think it can’t happen to your Board of Directors. In fact, it most likely is occurring already on an alarming number of occasions. What are you doing to prevent it from happening?
