Startup Boards can be very rewarding and exciting. There is nothing quite like helping a company secure its first major deal, disrupt and grow into a new market and raise its first round of capital to take the business forward. From a board director perspective, this can be an excellent experience and really set you apart from other directors by working in a fast-paced, exciting sector of the market. Obviously, startup businesses come with risks, but I think this can be managed, and if you have an entrepreneurial mindset, it is a fabulous career move.
